Getting Ready for Stam Show July 29th
Getting ready for Stam Chocolaterie show July 29th and Aug 5th, 2010, 4-8!
Quotes from the painting….“Yes, I did paint the chocolates with Stam Chocolates and licked my fingers too!”
“Note to self, don’t eat all the chocolates or what is there to paint!”
“Ate these two first, then painted the reflections…”
“How many colors of brown? Let me sample the ways…”

Orange Marmalade
One of Jo’s dear friends passed away Monday and he loved orange marmalade. He lived in Jo’s Dad’s room in Story City. God Bless
We are getting ready for our show at Stams, even putting our
sketchbooks together of (what we think when we paint) into a small booklet form. It’s all about Chocolate.

Watercolor Tape Technique-Tape Resist
Stetch out your picture. Place tape (masking tape works well) on the areas that you wish to remain white. We did that on the roofs of the barn. We have overlapped many of the shapes (about 3 out of 4 or 75%). Then paint your sky and foreground. Paint the buildings and trees. Be sure to add your shadows. Remember that painting dark colors next to your light colors tend to make the light colors pop. Give it a try and see what you can do and have fun.
