Slumped acrylic sculpture created at Sacred Heart School
Pictured here is one of the five slumped-acrylic sculptures we created at Sacred Heart School in April (I took pictures outside so there’s a lot of glare). Students of all ages from kindergarten through 8th grade worked on creating the squares within the figures, with symbols of knowledge, discipline, morals, service, and faith.
The sculptures were hung for the 8th grade graduation ceremony, situated so that students can come by and find their square. Years from now they can come back to visit the school and see their work.
Many thanks to art teacher Beth Titman and all the students for a wonderful experience!
