Art in Arnolds Park report

Chicken painted pillow by Jo Myers-Walker

Chicken painted pillow (painting on fabric)

Saturday was a most relaxing day for Art in the Park at Arnolds Park. Sister Water was present with refreshing, beautiful colors to help with my meditation. People were out boating, barbecuing, or walking around, some swimming or playing volleyball.

The people who bought this pillow raise chickens and thought that this one looked like one of theirs. The paintings start a dialog and everyone tells me the most interesting stories. They tell me that chickens are smart. Some people who vividly remember their fear of being scratched while collecting eggs as a child, are now getting chickens in their own back yard in town!
